From "Teluke: A Bigfoot Account"

As I studied his eyes, a deep rumble began to emanate from his throat. How ‘gorilla’ he looked! Yet in the image of man! His eyes were very human. It was like a man in a gorilla’s body! His head was pointy on top with the sagittal crest of the Great Apes and his face was very gorilla-like , except around the eyes. His nose was more than a gorilla has but less than we have. His mouth was wide and ape-like yet had a human quality about it.

I continued to study his eyes as the rumble in his throat got louder. I was smiling in admiration of his beauty but he continued to growl louder and his lips began to curl. The realization hit me that people can‘t growl like this and he snarled louder at my thoughts like a dog just before it bites. I grew horribly frightened!

“What’s wrong?” I felt literally as though I had a tiger by the tail, or in any case, a beast!

“I don’t like you.” he snarled.

“Why? I love you!” I looked deep into his eyes for an answer when I was attacked in a loud roaring snarl! I threw my hands over my face and turned aside.

“What did I do? I didn’t do anything!”

But he snapped back at me, “You look me in the eyes and I don’t like it!”’

“Well of course I do! That’s how I was raised! My people believe that if you are honest, you aren’t afraid to look others in the eye. They believe that the people who don’t look you in the eye have something to hide! I am showing you I am honest by allowing you to look me in the eye and see my soul. We say “the eyes are the window of the soul’!”

Listening, he scrunched up his face and appeared to reach way down into my eyeball to see my soul.
